From Unknown to Bestseller: The Girl Who Could Talk to Animals Success Story

We bought this for my daughter's 7th birthday and she absolutely loves it! She asks me to read it every single night before bed. The illustrations are gorgeous and the story actually makes her think about animals and nature. I catch her talking to our dog now like she's the girl in the book haha. Already pre-ordered whatever the author writes next.

First grade teacher here with 15 years under my belt. I added this to our classroom library last month and the kids are obsessed. We actually used it as a jumping off point for a whole week about environmental stewardship and empathy. Several parents messaged me asking for the title because their kids wouldn't stop talking about it at home. I've now recommended it to our school librarian for a district purchase. Five stars isn't enough honestly.

Got this for my niece's birthday and apparently she's read it cover to cover at least 12 times in the first month. My sister says it's the only book she wants lately. Really cute book with beautiful illustrations. My 6 year old enjoys the story though some parts are a bit advanced for her age. I think it's better suited for 7-9 year olds. The message about kindness to animals is lovely. Would definitely recommend as a gift for the right age group. Docking half a star only because the reading level isn't super clear in the description.

I'm not usually someone who writes reviews but this book made me cry in a good way. My two kids (ages 5 and 8) both love it even though they usually fight over what bedtime story to pick. The older one reads passages to the younger one now. There's something really special about how it teaches compassion without feeling preachy. We've already bought copies for both of their classrooms. Just beautiful.

Good book overall. My son (8) liked the animal characters and the adventure parts. Story is well paced and kept his attention which is honestly rare. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt like the ending wrapped up a little too quickly after such a big build up. But still a solid read and I'd buy the next one if there's a sequel. Great for independent readers around 2nd-3rd grade level.
